We all love coffee or we have some product that we enjoy daily, weekly or monthly.
Most of us just buy these blindly, without a second thought.

Your customers likely do the same thing, but there’s definitely a reason you bought it right? Let’s get into why that reason is so important.

You take your customers money in exchange for your service or product, and everyone else does the exact same, be it as a consumer or a producer.

But we don’t really notice how the product we buy manages to take our money.
I mean, can you remember why you bought that bag of chips, or that energy drink?

Sure, we were hungry or thirsty. But there’s probably a lot of reasons behind it.
Was the cashier a cute girl? Were you in a rush and it was the first thing at the counter?
These are important questions. Why?

Because when you start to understand why you buy the products that you do.
You’ll also start to understand why your clients buy your product/service.

Do you think the CEO knew I’d come in on a sunday hungover? Of course not.

He hired a marketing department and paid them a whole bunch of money to find out how to target people and make sure that they buy his product when they see it.
His staff spent time analyzing why people buy the things they do, but we don’t need a fancy and expensive marketing department.

Big Businesses spend a lot of time and money into hiring staff and training them to do exactly this, but we can do it for free and do it better than they do.

How?

Well the next time you buy something, pause and try to think about why you bought it.

For example, you walk into a coffee shop. If you buy a cup of coffee. You could be analyzing why you bought it, and if you could be a competitor to that coffee shop.

What does this mean?

Just look at two things, what are they doing right?
And what are they doing wrong?

Maybe there’s a lot of businessmen so they might’ve hired a cute girl to be the barista.
Or they might not be selling cakes with their coffee. Maybe the sign outside isn’t good.

If you start looking at these things, you’ll start to understand two things.

No.1 How businesses take people’s money and your money.
No.2 How to build a successful business

Every business functions on this basic principle;

If you don’t have money coming in, it’s not a business. You need to be generating revenue.

There’s one core principle to this that people forget, we don’t make money.
We take money. You aren’t the federal reserve, you can’t print money.

Every dollar you earn is a dollar you took from someone else.
That’s not a bad thing, but you need to understand how to take that money from people.

The trick to this is to start looking at how you give people your money and why.

Once you understand this it becomes 100x easier to sell anything.
