If you’ve ever been fishing you’ve probably heard someone tell you to “cast your net again.” I’ll get into how you can use this in your ads and marketing to boost your sales massively.

Sadly, It’s used incorrectly by most and ends up just being straight up annoying.
You’ve probably had the odd experience where you expressed interest in a certain product maybe cat toys. Then out of the blue you start seeing cat toys everywhere you go, Instagram, Facebook and Youtube maybe even your dreams…

This is called retargeting, unfortunately it’s used incorrectly by most businesses. Today we’ll get into how to make it work because if you use it right, it can give you huge returns on your marketing investments.

So let’s get into how to use it in a way that isn’t annoying.

This Slightly Fancy Term Will Make You Money

Unless you buy something like chewing gum or a packet of chips, your customers aren’t just randomly buying from you.

There’s always a time in between the purchase and the desire for your product/service, a period in which your customer is weighing their opinions.

A fancy word for this is a “customer journey”

Why You Should Care About The “Customer Journey”

It’s because there’s a rough process for almost every product or service;

1. Prospect becomes aware of their need/problem
2. Prospect is looking for solutions to their need/problem
3. Prospect is picking between suppliers/options

Pretty straightforward right? So why does this matter?

Because the sooner you get in front of a prospect… the higher the chances of converting them into a customer and the less it costs for you to make a sale. It’s a win-win-win.

Just consider it for a second.

If you find them at stage 3, they’re just price shopping. You’re entering the race too late.

Ideally you want to reach them in stage 2. They start looking for solutions and BOOM, there you are.

The good news? If you’re doing marketing right and following the advice in this blog, there’s already a good chance that they’re finding you in stage 3.

The bad news? The average attention span of a prospect is horrendous and the chances of them remembering you later on after they click away are dreadful.

So let’s fix that. Get in touch with our agency today. If we’re a good fit I will personally take a look at your company and your marketing, come up with a strategy of what I’d do differently and discuss it with you in depth on a call.

No Cost, No Pressure, No Worries.

If you want to work together I’ll tell you exactly how that works, if you don’t want to work together that’s fine too. No worries, no pressure, no hard selling tactics.
